What does the french last name Brisebois mean? ?
i've been having trouble finding for the meaning of my last name(Brisebois) it has french origins , help would be appreciated thanks!

The French translation of "brise" is "broken", "bent" or "short".
Transalation for "bois" is "wood" or "antler".
So, your name could mean either Short or Broken Wood (Kindling wood?)
or Bent or Broken Antler.

Its based on one of my character drawings. ;)
Reply:I liked the System of a Down song 'Suite Pee', thought it was a cool way of spelling it, an unusual twist, and the name's just really stuck. One of my friends calls me "sweet pea" so it was just fitting.
I'm guessing yours is from the HIM song 'Your Sweet 666'? If so, I love that band and that song.
Reply:It means that my mother liked the name Veronica for her baby daughter, and my father chose the second name Alicia because my mother was called Alice and both my maternal grandmother and Gt. grandmother were called Eliza.
