The brand of my printer is Canon, and the model name is i255. Different printers have many different model names. In this case, what does this "i255" represents? Is there a meaning or it's just a name that doesn't have a meaning?
What does the model name of a printer represents?
The meaning of it is so if you call someone for cusatemer service or something they will be able to idetify what type it is . another example would be if you want a specific printer with certain features on it they could find the kind of printer you want much easier.
Reply:It doesn't have any intrinsic meaning, its just a naming convention made up by the manufacturer.
Reply:I know that it tells you which ink cartridge to get. Why do you need to know more?
